A whopping total of 8 MRT trains will cater to commuters starting May 11

How very nice of them to tell everyone!

(SPOT.ph) Mondays are notorious for being glum and, well, horrible...but is it really the day or is it people? Let's explore, using a "based on a true story" scenario: You managed to roll out of bed into your work clothes (and breakfast). You make it to the MRT station with little incident...and then you hear this curious announcement:

Sa mga nagmamadali po, mag-bus na lang kayo. Maghihintay po kayo ng matagal at para hindi na kayo maabala, mag-bus na lang po kayo.

The guard says it will take about 25 minutes for the next ride, because—surprise!—there are only eight trains running on Monday...until who knows. There are no press releases in the DOTC website nor are there any official tweets about this drastic decrease in number of trains running starting May 11. Maybe it's because, with the long lines and other daily nuisances, they thought people would hardly notice it anyway?

Obviously, there are so, so, so many ways to traverse EDSA. Bus. Cab. Car. Catapult. Zipline. Magical unicorn. The TARDIS. Best of luck, Spotters.
