1. Joey de Leon says his controversial Nepal tweet was "word play"

To refresh your memory, Joey de Leon earlier drew flak after he made a joke on the Nepal quake (above). In an interview with, he explained his joke, saying, "Naglalaro ako sa word [...] Anong masama dun? 'Yon ang sinasabi ko, kulang sa utak ang ibang nangba-bash."



He also doesn't seem to remember what he tweeted because he continued, "'Everest in Peace,' anong masama? Masama kung sinabi ko, 'Everest in freeze,' 'yon ang bad." 


2. Luis Manzano says marriage with Angel Locsin "happening very, very soon"

During Luis Manzano's on-air celebration of his birthday last Sunday (May 10), he hinted at a possible wedding with girlfriend, Angel Locsin. He did not give any specific details, but said, "Siyempre gusto ko surprise sa kanya, pero it's gonna be happening very, very soon."


3. Diana Zubiri is married

Actress Diana Zubiri tied the knot with model-host Andrew Smith on Sunday (May 10). The two got engaged last February in Japan, and were married in a garden ceremony in New Manila, Quezon City. Some famous guests included Camille Prats, Paolo Ballesteros, and Francine Prieto.


4. This website transforms Google Street View into LEGO

A website called Brick Street View has replaced photos in Google Street View into its LEGO versions. According to the designer, the street view panorama includes LEGO models of cars, flowers and trees, but warned that details may be "thinner" in some areas.




5. Kathryn and Nadine finally meet

Teen stars (and uncanny lookalikes) Kathryn Bernardo and Nadine Lustre finally crossed paths on Sunday, on the variety show ASAP. Kathryn has previously admitted there was "some kind of awkwardness" between her and Nadine, but added that she would like to get to know Nadine more. Their respective love team tandems have also been compared by fans.

6. Pacquiao set to arrive in Manila tomorrow

Manny Pacquiao is scheduled to arrive in Manila early Wednesday, with a homecoming motorcade set to begin at 9 a.m. The motorcade route will start at Pasay Road and end at Rajah Sulayman Park. Authorities are warning motorists to expect heavy traffic in the outlined areas.


7. Makati nursing college building allegedly overpriced by P579-M

It's back to business for the Senate hearing investigating Vice President Jejomar Binay. The latest accusation comes from lawyer Renato Bondal, who claimed the nursing school of the University of Makati is overpriced by P579-M, compared to the normal building cost of similar structures in 2007. Bondal said the figures were computed with the help of property appraiser Federico Cuervo, president and chief executive officer of Cuervo Valuers and Advisory Inc.



8. Murder charges filed vs. milk tea shop owner's son

According to the Manila Police District (MPD), charges have been filed against the son of the milk tea shop owner following last month's incident that killed two people, including his father. The suspect, Lloyd Abrigo, is facing two counts of murder and frustrated murder. The MPD has declared the case closed.
