Love LEGO? You'd probably want to plan your next getaway to Florida, because a brand-new LEGO-themed hotel just opened. Don't get too excited, though, because there's a catch: The hotel was designed specifically for 2- to 12-year-olds. It features themed rooms (like Pirate and Kingdom) that are equipped with LEGO playsets and treasure chests that can be unlocked with a scavenger hunt. Room rates start at US $219 a night.
A Starbucks employee in New York was fired after a video of her yelling at a customer went viral. The employee, who initially claimed to be a manager, accused the customer of stealing a special "cookie straw." According to the customer, she ordered a Frappuccino and the straw, and was trying to open her Starbucks Rewards app on her phone when the employee reportedly started yelling at her. The employee was recorded shouting, "Now give me the straw and leave. You’re not gonna get served here. Bye!"
After backing out from the movie adaptation of the controversial book Etiquette for Mistresses, Kris Aquino announced on Tuesday that she is now "allowed to do" the project. She also confirmed that she will be joined by Claudine Barretto (who previously posted about the movie on social media) and Kim Chiu. The film will be directed by Chito Roño.
Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf are having a baby! They have yet to make an official announcement, but former Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester was seen with a baby bump while out for lunch with husband Adam Brody on Saturday. The two were married in a secret ceremony in early 2014.

Nobu Hotel held its grand opening on May 18, and they were joined by Academy Award-winner Robert de Niro and Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. In an interview, De Niro announced that they were planning to put up the first Nobu Resort in another part of the world, but added that "...after going to Palawan, [they] might open one on an island here as well."
After a fire took the lives of over 70 factory workers in Valenzuela City last week, the Palace called on Congress to review occupational and fire safety laws. According to Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr., there is a need to "update" the 1970 Occupational Safety and Health Act, and "explore the possibility" of criminalizing violations to occupational safety standards. The Palace also said it would be more vigilant in inspecting factories in the future, to ensure their compliance.
On Monday, Senator Grace Poe appealed to Vice President Jejomar Binay to attend Senate hearings and respond to allegations of corruption. "...Ang hirap din mag-attend ng hearing na ang mismong pinaparatangan ay hindi sumasama, para bang nagsasalita ka sa likod ng taong 'yon," she said.
When asked to comment on Binay's statements regarding "inexperienced" candidates in 2016, she replied, "Ang kasagutan ko simple lang: kalidad ng serbisyo, katapatan, kasama na rin ng paglilingkod nang magaling."
