Vice President Binay speaks out against term limits
Now he's fine with Charter Change?
(SPOT.ph) Contrary to statements he made in September 2014, Vice President Jejomar Binay sang a different tune on Wednesday (June 10) during a news forum when he said that, "Six years is too long for a bad administrator but too short for a good one. Ibalik na lang iyong four years with reelection."
A GMA News report gives more detail about his stance on Charter Change, which he had earlier revealed as, "Basta’t ako I’m against Charter Change except the economic provisions."
The Vice President specified in the news forum that he is against the 60-40 provision on foreign investments, but he did not reveal more about his comments on term limits: "'Yong sa mga...sa economic [pwede at this point] sa aking palagay. [Iyong sa political] sa ibang oras na."
Some people would say #NeverAgain is a good time to talk about term extensions and overstaying...but we defer to your judgment, Mr. Vice President. You were there when the reason why the term limits was in effect.
