Senator Koko Pimentel responds to VP Binay's letter, puts a twist on "gaganda ang buhay" slogan
Kaninong buhay ba ang gumanda?
(SPOT.ph) It would seem that letters are truly back in style. Vice President Jejomar Binay wrote two this week and one of them was addressed to Senator Koko Pimentel. The problematic remarks in the letter didn't draw much attention from people, but its intended recipient classily replied. Senator Pimentel shared the letter with the public on June 30, and it was hard not to say, "oh, snap!"
The letter carries a more or less polite tone, with Senator Pimentel explaining the reason why the Senate Blue Ribbon Subcommittee is inviting him to "proper forums" to discuss, among other things, the Makati City Hall Building. The Senator assured the Vice President that the chairperson of the subcommittee won't allow "pambabastos" on the floor, if only the veep would show up for the hearings.
Towards the end, Senator Pimentel inserted a bit of style when he added, "As someone who campaigned and voted for you in 2010, I feel like I got fooled by your catchy slogan, 'Kay Binay, Gaganda ang Buhay,' because what has been revealed in the Senate hearings is that 'Si Binay Gumaganda ang Buhay!'"
