MMDA says Manila traffic to stay only for 15 years
So this is what "forever" means.
(SPOT.ph) Brace yourselves, non-believers! MMDA has just defined the measure of “forever” in an interview with the Philippine Star on August 23.
According to MMDA chairman Francis Tolentino, Manila traffic problems are expected to linger for some more time because of several infrastructure projects and the amount of vehicles around the metro.
It will only be by the year 2030 when the government will begin to fully implement the Roadmap for Transport Infrastructure Development for Metro Manila and its Surrounding Areas, especially the points between Buendia and Balintawak.
Until that time, Metro Manila transporters will have to keep doing what they do best: wait.
So Spotters, believe it! May forever—at least for the next 15 years or so.
