(SPOT.ph) The Philippines' most well-known low-cost airline, Cebu Pacific, was included in Asia361.com’s list of 13 Airlines with the Best Looking Flight Crew. Asia 361 is a Singapore-based online lifestyle publication targeting Asian trendsetters.
Dubai's Emirates made the top spot after receiving the highest number of votes in a casual survey. Middle-Eastern airlines dominated the random list including Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways, Qatar Airways, and Afghanistan-owned, Dubai-based Safi Airways. Other Asian air transport providers that made it onto the list are China Eastern Airlines, Taiwan’s EVA Air, South Korea’s Asiana Airlines, Japan’s All Nippon Airways, and Garuda Indonesia. European airlines Lufthansa of Germany and Virgin Atlantic of England were also featured, completing the list. There was a special mention of Vietjet Air’s bikini show at the end of the list. To celebrate the airline’s new route between Ho Chi Minh and Nha Trang, they had a bikini show featuring local pageant contenders.
Cebu Pacific claims to have the youngest set for both local and international destinations. Their cabin crew’s dance demonstrating the flight safety procedure went viral in 2010.
The listing was a result of the 2014 guidelines issued by the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation which mandated that overweight cabin crew members lose excess pounds in three months or be considered unfit for the job for six months. Male crew members must maintain a body mass index (BMI) of 18 to 25; for female crew members, it's 18 to 22.
