Senator Grace Poe tops Pulse Asia presidential poll
She also topped the VP poll.
(SPOT.ph) A survey released by Pulse Asia on September 28 had Sen. Grace Poe leading the presidential race, with 26% of all respondents selecting the senator over other candidates. Former DILG Sec. Mar Roxas followed her with 20%, keeping a strong hold on the Visayas region. Vice President Jejomar Binay dipped to third place with 19%.
Sen. Poe also led the Vice Presidential survey, followed by her declared running mate, Sen. Chiz Escudero. He is followed by Sen. Bongbong Marcos and Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, respectively.
Meanwhile, senatorial bets that made the cut included both present and former members of Congress. Some of the names were Senate President Franklin Drilon, former senator Francis Pangilinan, Rep. Manny Pacquiao, and Justice Sec. Leila de Lima.
The survey, which gathered a total of 2,400 respondents, was conducted from September 8 to 14—two days before Poe announced her bid for the highest position in Philippine government.
