DOTC Secretary Abaya asks NAIA to let passengers open their own bags
First a hole in the floor, and now bullets in our bags.
(SPOT.ph) After reports of several incidents of bullets being found in passengers’ bags at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) Sec. Emilio Abaya has suggested that passengers be allowed to open their own luggage for inspection. Recent complaints have alleged that some Office for Transportation Security (OTS) personnel planted bullets in travelers' luggage.
Airport authorities are now investigating the Laglag Bala Modus as there are 52 airport personnel who are allegedly involved, and four people have been suspended. They may be charged with criminal cases if they are found guilty.
