10 Best Posts on Duterte Not Running for President
We want to know: Is that your final answer?
(SPOT.ph) On October 12, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte officially declared that he is not running for president in the 2016 national elections. In a report by ABS-CBNnews.com, Duterte apologized to those who have eagerly supported him and his campaign for a change to federalism in the country.
Duterte previously announced that he needed more time for some "soul-searching" before the press briefing on Monday. He ended his speech with, "When all is said in the wake of this decision, perhaps we can find comfort in the thought this indeed—this is indeed a beautiful day to end a wild dream. God bless the Philippines, God bless us all."
Of course, the people of the Internet had lots to say about Duterte's latest announcement.
