QC court orders stop in Uber and GrabCar operations
(SPOT.ph) GMANetwork.com reported today, December 4, that the Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 217 has issued a 20-day temporary restraining order (TRO) to stop the operations of Transportation Network Vehicle Services (TNVS). In other words, the TRO suspends the operations of Uber and GrabCar in the country.

The TRO was sought by the Angat Tsuper Samahan ng Mga Tsuper at Operator ng Pilipinas Genuine Organization Transport (Stop and Go) Coalition. The court recognized the coalition’s argument that drivers of franchise transport utilities like taxis and UV Express (FX) have gotten their incomes slashed by half because of the likes of Uber and GrabCar.
The next hearing is scheduled on December 8. In the meantime, you can still use Uber and GrabCar.
