(SPOT.ph) Busy day, Spotters? We quickly recap 10 things you might have missed while you were off the radar.

1. Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar lead Grammy nominations

The Grammys has finally announced this year's nominated entries, with rapper Kendrick Lamar leading the pack with a total of 11 nominations (including Album of the Year, Best Rap Album, Song of the Year, and Best Rap Collaboration). Meanwhile, Taylor Swift (whom he worked with for the music video of her song, Bad Blood) had a total of nine nods, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. Other notable nominees include The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, and Drake. By the way, if you were wondering where Adele's nominations are, the Grammy cut-off is September 30, making her new album ineligible. You'll just have to wait for next year!

2. Cristine Reyes is tying the knot in January

In an interview on Kris TV, actress Cristine Reyes announced that she will be pushing back her upcoming nuptials from December to January because the wedding planning clashed with her work on a new telenovela. She said that they will be tying the knot in Balesin where they were originally planning to do a prenup shoot. Cristine and her non-showbiz boyfriend were engaged last September.

3. Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West announce son's name

The son of Yeezus will have a “holy” name. Kim Kardashian West announced their son’s name on Twitter: "Saint West.” The news comes after Kardashian West gave birth on December 5. According to reports, Baby Saint’s name may be taken after the brand Yves Saint Laurent, of which West is known to be a huge fan.

4. McDonald's Snoopy-themed burger buns actually exist

If you're a fan of Snoopy, you might want to head to a McDonald's in China. The fast-food chain has released a line of black-and-white Snoopy-themed burger buns, but it's still unclear if it's part of a promotion for the upcoming Peanuts movie. Over in Australia, McDonald's debuted "Loaded Fries," or french fries topped with guacamole and salsa, or bacon and cheese sauce. Hey, when are we getting these goodies?!!

5. The world’s first underwater hotel is coming

Looks like life under the sea can soon be a reality with Planet Ocean Underwater Hotels’ model of a boutique hotel with see-through pods. The Florida-based company is moving into the testing phase of its pre-fabricated pods, with offers from hotel groups based in the Philippines, Singapore, and Qatar. The hotel will be built 28 feet under the water. There will be an elevator that leads directly down the 12-bedroom hotel with normal amenities like air-conditioning, beds, bathrooms, mini-fridges, TVs, and even Internet connection. You need not worry about having a Titanic-like experience because the walls will be made up of thick, double-welded steel and clear acrylic. The only downside would be the cost for one night, which is predicted to be U.S. $3,000 to 6,000.

6. Donald Trump calls for "complete shutdown" of Muslim entry to the U.S.

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump continues to make shocking statements against immigration and Muslims. In a new speech, Trump called for a "total and complete shutdown" of Muslims entering the country, whether they're Muslim-American citizens, immigrants, tourists, or business travelers. He argued that anyone practicing Islam "should be considered a potential threat." 7. Korina explains Ramon Bautista’s "unpaid" support for Roxas

We’ve pointed out that Ramon Bautista and Mar Roxas doing fist-bumps in the star-studded Liberal Party (LP) music video is hilarious because back in May, Bautista mocked Roxas for doing the same thing with a kid. The Internet quickly picked up and expressed their disappointment over Bautista’s move. As if to give clarity to the issue, Roxas’ wife, Korina Sanchez, posted on her Instagram account that Bautista told Mar that fist-bumping was enjoyable. Some commenters concluded that Bautista endorsed Roxas for money, but the director of the music video said there were no talent fees given to the 17 personalities who joined. “All the artists who came on board for the [music video] volunteered when we spoke to them. No one was paid for this except the production team,” director Cristhian Escolano said.

8. Duterte personally files his COC to seal his presidential bid

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte personally went to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) office in Intramuros to file his certificate of candidacy (COC) and settle the issues surrounding it. He was accompanied by his running mate, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano. According to Duterte, the COMELEC assured him that his earlier documents, which were submitted and filed by a representative, were valid. He did not bring any additional papers nor edit any. However, the COMELEC has yet to decide if it will allow Duterte to substitute for former PDP-Laban standard bearer Martin Diño as the latter still has a pending case over his erroneous COC.
