(SPOT.ph) This year's Metro Manila Film Festival was mired in controversy. Erik Matti's Honor Thy Father was disqualified from the Best Picture category due to its participation from previous film festivals. Matti and his producers cried foul over the disqualification, which reportedly happened without due process. There were also allegations of ticket swapping and movies being pulled out of cinemas too soon.
