15 Most Quotable Quotes From the PiliPinas Debates
Ang pagiging pangulo ay hindi OJT.
(SPOT.ph) The first of three presidential debates for the upcoming May 2016 elections was conducted on Sunday, February 21, in Cagayan de Oro City. The debate, called PiliPinas 2016, had three rounds: first on their respective track records and performance in office; second on poverty and development; and third on issues in Mindanao.
The event, which was co-presented by GMA 7 and the Philippine Daily Inquirer, went exactly the way you'd expect it to go...and then some. The five presidential aspirants traded barbs, dodged certain questions, and there was even a mutual love-fest between two candidates, birthing the hashtag #DuRiam. If you missed out on all the action, here are 15 of the most quotable (and memorable) quotes from the first PiliPinas debates.
