There is a new carpooling app to make your daily commute easier
(SPOT.ph) With all the traffic that’s choking the Metro, we're always on the lookout for better options for getting around the city. While most of us have become dependent on ride-sharing apps for the daily commute, there's a new player that might be worth checking out.
Wunder is a new carpooling app from Europe, where car owners find passengers and vice versa, according to Top Gear Philippines. Here’s how it works: The idea is to match people who are headed in the same direction. Users input their home and work locations into the app, as well as their commute times. Wunder matches riders and driver. The riders then pay an estimated P60 fee for a 15 km trip. While only cash payments are accepted now, transactions may have an electronic option in the future.
Unlike Uber and Grab, Wunder is not built for profit making. A driver is only allowed two rides a day, and the riders’ fee only helps cover gas. If you’re worried about the safety of carpooling, Wunder provides a profile and rating system for feedback.
So, ready to carpool?
