Here's how you can help rebuild the UP Faculty Center

Help FC rise from the ashes.

(SPOT.ph) The fire that razed the Faculty Center of the University of the Philippines Diliman on Friday, April 1, destroyed countless books, files, archives, works of art, and equipment.

Within a week after the incident, the UP community and other concerned institutions organized themselves to rebuild the Faculty Center. Here's how you can help.

If you're an alumni of the College of Arts and Letters and College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, you can send digital or hard copies of your thesis to your respective departments.

Current UP students and alumni who may have books or readings to donate can also course them through their respective departments.

Dulaang UP is also asking for old scripts, posters, souvenir programs, photos, videos and other substantial memorabilia. For hard copies, contact Archie Clataro (0927-244-7132) and drop them off at the DUP Office, Palma Hall 136, UP Diliman.

Electronic copies can be uploaded via Facebook or e-mailed to dulaanguparchives@gmail.com.

If you have photos or videos of any classes, workshops, rehearsals, or productions staged at the Teatro Hermogenes Ylagan, contact their Facebook group.

You can also donate office supplies, equipment, electronic gadgets like laptops and flash drives, as well as furniture (desks, chairs, bookshelves, et cetera).

The following groups are organizing fundraising drives and workshops:

Ugly Mug MNL is selling UP-themed mugs at P150 each. Fifty percent of the proceeds will be donated towards the rehabilitation of the FC. Check Ugly Mug MNL's Facebook page for updates.
