Angelica Panganiban made headlines the past few weeks, thanks to her hugot lines from the comedy show Banana Sundae, which led many to speculate she was referring to her ex, John Lloyd Cruz. "It’s a gag comedy show so parang it wouldn’t be too great kung isipin ko para sa akin 'yon. Kasi parang not everything is about you John Lloyd," he said. "Napakaarogante naman kung iisipin ko na lahat 'yong mga 'yon ay patama sa akin. Sa kaso namin, alam namin 'yong totoo. Alam ko 'yong totoo and I think that’s more than enough para hindi ko isipin 'yong mga ganoong bagay." He also reiterated that he and Panganiban remain friends.

If you're an avid emoji user, then you're probably aware that female representation is limited to bride, princess, and dancer. Inspired by the sudden controversy surrounding the lack of women roles in emojis, four Google employees have proposed adding 13 new female emojis to "better reflect the pivotal roles women play in the world." If accepted by the Unicode Consortium (the folks behind all the emojis), they will be released in June 2017.

A specialty Burger King sauna and spa has opened in Helsinki, and comes equipped with showers, a dressing room, a 15-person sauna with a 48-inch TV, a media lounge with a 55-inch television, and comfy towels with the Burger King logo. Three hours of spa time and chowing down on burgers costs about U.S. $300.

Three days after the May 9 elections, Vice President Jejomar Binay has conceded defeat to presumptive President-elect Rodrigo Duterte. According to Binay's spokesperson, Joey Salgado, the vice president has already talked to the tough-talking mayor. "He extended his congratulations and wished the president-elect all the best," Salgado said in a statement issued late Thursday.
COMELEC Commissioner Rowena Guanzon said technology provider Smartmatic should be held accountable for the change made in the script of the transparency server used in the May 9 polls. She said permission was not sought for the change, which was a "breach in protocol." Guanzon said she and other commissioners "will request a formal investigation" into the matter.
Ex-COMELEC chair Sixto Brillantes Jr. said he will represent Sen. Bongbong Marcos at the canvassing of votes at Congress. Congress will convene on or before May 25 to serve as the National Board of Canvassers, which will proclaim the country's president and vice president.
