Disney's upcoming prequel to Star Wars will feature a very familiar character. According to the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, Darth Vader is confirmed to make an appearance but his role is yet to be clarified. The film, which stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, and Forest Whitaker, will explore the Star Wars universe prior to the events of the first 1977 film. Directed by Godzilla's Gareth Edwards, it's set for release on December 2016.

Burger King branches in the U.S. have released the Mac n' Cheetos, which is essentially deep-fried macaroni and cheese and coated with Cheetos powder. A set of five pieces comes with ranch dressing dipping sauce, and is priced at U.S. $2.49.
A Starbucks customer named Katherine Mize ordered coffee via the drive-in of a Houston branch. At the window, a barista reportedly spilled the coffee while handing it to Mize, which she says "started burning [her] immediately." Her lawsuit claimed Starbucks was negligent to serve drinks at a temperature that caused her skin to "fall off in sheets," and that she was "unable to eat, sit, walk, work, or function normally for an extended period of time." The lawsuit demands that Starbucks pays her somewhere between U.S. $200,000 and U.S. $1 million for "physical disfigurement," among other damages.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship will be returning to Manila later this year. The Octagon will once again rise at the Mall of Asia Arena for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night Manila on October 15. Fil-Am bantamweight John Dodson, who is in the country to hype up the event, confirmed the news but did not disclose any details about the upcoming fights. Ticket prices have yet to be announced.
A Japanese engineer who is serving as an expert adviser for the Japan International Cooperation Agency office in the Philippines stressed the "need for improvement" after observing the second Metro Manila-wide earthquake drill on Wednesday. Osamu Itagaki said that there should be a "major transportation route" in Manila that emergency responders can take during actual disasters ."In Japan, we have in the Tokyo area circumferential highways so that if a big earthquake hits Tokyo, we can shut out transportation from the center of Tokyo. So, it provides road for emergency transportation only," Itagaki said.
President Aquino is reportedly "at peace" with the thought of stepping down from office. During a speech at the the DFA's 118th foundation anniversary, Aquino, whose term ends on June 30, said it was an honor serving the country. "Isang linggo na lang nga po, at matatapos na ang aking termino. Patibayin pa sana natin ang pagkakaisa at nawa'y patuloy nating itaguyod ang ating ambisyon: Ang iwan ang bansa sa di hamak na mas magandang kalagayan kaysa sa atin pong dinatnan."
