"Love affairs" between students are prohibited at this Cagayan de Oro school
"Young lady students" are particularly in danger.
(SPOT.ph) True love waits—and the Golden Heritage Polytechnic College in Cagayan de Oro City is making damn sure that it stays that way.
According to a report on ABS-CBN News, the school is on constant crackdown mode on students who are in relationships. The school's mission is to prevent teenage pregnancies.
To remind students that they cannot engage in any romantic relationship with the opposite sex as long as they are enrolled in the said school, Golden Heritage Polytechnic College (GHPC) administrators have mounted a huge tarpaulin at the campus entrance bearing these words: "Love affair will surely destroy the life of a young lady student. Therefore, this institute prohibit intimate relationship between male and female students."
The grammatical lapses aside, the hard-to-ignore tarp certainly drives home the school's intended message. But they didn't stop there. Angelo Andrade of ABS-CBN News reports that the words are also printed on teachers' uniforms.
The report quoted school president Capt. Tito Dichosa, who said that his "only wish is for his students to finish college" and that he "gets frustrated whenever a student gets pregnant and stops studying."
That said, it was also revealed that last school year, six students were expelled from the school for violating the school's ban on relationships.
