UP Pep Squad's new routine will give you goosebumps, as always
We miss them already.
(SPOT.ph) Fans were heartbroken when the University of the Philippines Varsity Pep Squad (a.k.a. UP Pep Squad or UP Pep) announced in October that they would not be joining the UAAP Cheerdance Competition this year. To thank the UP community who supported their decision to "abide with [their] principles of honor and integrity," the well-loved cheerdance group presented a never-before-seen floor routine during the pep rally on November 16 at the UP College of Human Kinetics.
They danced, jumped, tumbled, and almost flew to the tunes of The Dawn's "Salamat," Callalily's "Pasasalamat," and Ebe Dancel, Sam Concepcion, and Gloc-9's "Ito ang Liga."
Days prior to the performance, the UP Pep Squad released on Facebook a new cheer courtesy of the UP Pep Drummers. Iskos, Iskas, and fans are invited to learn the words by heart and express their thanks.
UP laban, sa hamon di patitinag
UP taas kamaong naninindigan
Iisang UP, iisang laban
Tapang at talino, pagpupugay, UP!
Iisang UP, thank you
Ito'ng aming alay sa UP
Iisang UP, thank you, woooo!
Ito'ng aming alay sa UP.
Meanwhile, seven university-based cheerdance groups will battle it out at the 2016 UAAP Cheerdance Competition on Saturday, November 19, at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
