Adamson and UE drummers cheer for UP Pep Squad
Because we still have a UAAP Cheerdance hangover.
(SPOT.ph) It may have been days since the 2016 UAAP Cheerdance Competition declared the National University Pep Squad as the champion, but we still can't forget how different this year's competition was. For starters, the University of the Philippines Varsity Pep Squad was not part of the roster and fans were heartbroken.
The well-loved group became even more missed when the Adamson University Drummers Yellers On-Line merged with the University of the East Red Drummers on the spur of the moment to play the signature cheer of the UP Pep Squad after the competition. The behind-the-scenes "performance" was captured on camera and two videos with different angles started making their rounds online with the hashtag #LeaveNoSquadBehind.
The UP Pep Squad announced on October 26 that they decided to not be part of this season's competition. This comes after the UAAP committee failed to respond to their questions on last year's cheerdance results. "Reared in the institution we represent, we abide with our principles of honor and integrity, and stay true to our word of foregoing with the competition," they said in a statement.
