LRT-1 extends operating hours this December
Take note, commuters!
(SPOT.ph) Aside from decking the otherwise boring trains with holiday decor, the Light Rail Manila Corporation has also extended the train schedule for the Light Rail Transit Line 1 this December. The new operating hours started on December 3 and lasts until December 23.
The first train that leaves Baclaran is at 4:30 a.m. while the last trip is at 11 p.m. daily. On weekdays, the first trip from Roosevelt is at 4:30 a.m. while the last trip is at 10:45 a.m.; then, on weekends, the last trip from Roosevelt is at 11 p.m.
There are also additional trips throughout the day. Trains from Baclaran station are at five-minute intervals between 4:30 a.m. and 4:50 a.m., and at 15-minute intervals from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. On the other hand, trains from Roosevelt leave at 10-minute intervals between 4:30 a.m. and 4:50 a.m., and at 10-minute intervals between 10 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
On December 24 (Christmas Eve), trains from Baclaran run only until 7:30 p.m. while trains from Roosevelt run only until 8 p.m. On December 31 (New Year's Eve), the last trip from Baclaran is at 6:30 p.m. while the last trip from Roosevelt is at 7 p.m.
Line 1 links the cities of Quezon City, Caloocan, Manila, Pasay, and Parañaque. It is connected to Line 2 at Doroteo Jose Station and to Line 3 at the EDSA-Taft and North Avenue stations.
