Commuters, there's a new option to beat that daily rush-hour struggle
Take note if you're from the east.
(SPOT.ph) Transportation networks like Grab and Uber have made our rush hour commute easier. No more cab drivers asking for additional charges just because it's traffic, rejecting the ride because it's far, and tampering with the taxi meter. You can just book a car from your house to your office (and spend the rest of the air-conditioned ride hassle-free).
The downside? Convenience doesn't come cheap especially during rush hour when prices go way up and cars aren't readily available. Enter Robinsons Malls' latest venture with Grab through a point-to-point ride-sharing service called #MoveWithGrab, which started in the morning of May 4. Think P2P buses but instead of two-level coasters, you have a six-seater vehicle.
The ride-sharing service runs from Robinsons Metro East (Grab Kiosk near the Transport Terminal entrance) to Robinsons Galleria with pick-up time options at 6 a.m., 6:30 a.m., and 7 a.m. The return route from Galleria (Grab Kiosk in front of TGI Friday's along ADB Avenue) is at 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 7 p.m. You can even book in advance, up to six hours, through movewithgrab.com at an introductory fixed fare of P60. This comes extremely handy if you're from Marikina, Pasig, and maybe even Rizal.
#MoveWithGrab's other routes include SM North to Paseo Center and SM North to SM Megamall from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
