On weeks leading up to the big day, we find ourselves hopping from one party to another, spending time with coworkers and friends, and feasting on lechon, pancit, and other get-together staples. But the holiday rush is also filled with major commuting woes—traffic jams here and there, lack of parking spaces, and, not to mention, the frequent MRT breakdowns. To solve this, Uber has come up with a solution for all event organizers and party planners out there.
UberEVENTS, which can be accessed online through www.uber.com/events, lets you purchase a ride for your guests in advance. It's like creating your exclusive promo code, and we all know how awesome those things are.

Take for example, you're having a company Christmas Party at Metrowalk in Pasig on the first Saturday of December. You just have to enter your location so your guests can only book Uber rides from and to Metrowalk, set a specific time window (this will also discourage late-comers!), and input a specific number of rides per user (you only need two per guest). If you’re worried about paying for your officemate’s expensive ride from Muntinlupa to Pasig, you can set a cap on the amount you’re willing to shoulder per rider. You can set a P50 discount each for two rides, for example, for 100 guests. Your bill will be sent three days after your event so you don’t have to worry about paying it all at once.
UberEVENTS is available in Metro Manila; Cebu; Cainta, Taytay, and Antipolo in Rizal; and Bacoor, Cavite. Packages can be purchased through credit or debit card.
