10 Amazing Photos of the Mayon Eruption
But still, disaster looms.
(SPOT.ph) Ever since Mayon Volcano started showing activity on January 13, the mountain known for its "perfect cone" has been the subject of many photographs that have spread like wildfire on the Internet. Images have documented the volcano's volatility, from lava trickling down from the crater to a massive ash column spewed days later. The alert level has been raised to four out of five, and tens of thousands of residents (and animals) in the danger zones have been evacuated.
