Apple is Launching 70 New Emojis for World Emoji Day
The new emojis will be part of iOS 12, and are set to launch later this year.
(SPOT.ph) If a picture says a thousand words, then one can probably write a novel with a string of emojis. Ever since its inception in Apple's iOS in 2010, the successor to the smiley has revolutionized the way we communicate with each other online. Suddenly, new meanings were attached to these images—an eggplant no longer just pertains to the vegetable, and the number "100" can signify the feeling of excellence and being on top of your game. Now, get ready to create more emoji slang—in celebration of World Emoji Day today, July 17, Apple will be launching 70 new emoji designs. The new emojis will be released along with the iOS 12 software update, which is slated to launch later this year.
The options for human emojis have now become more diverse, with new bald, curly-haired, and readhead options. The parrot, peacock, lobster, and kangaroo have been added to the animal emoji family, while you can now use images of your favorite foods such as the cupcake, mango, and even a mooncake in your texts.
