Heads Up: Bonifacio Global City Implements New One-Way Traffic Scheme
It will take effect starting September 17.
(SPOT.ph) Heads up, motorists—starting September 17, a new one-way traffic scheme will be implemented in certain roads of Bonifacio Global City for better traffic flow.
Two traffic routes will be implemented. The first will utilize a one-way counter-clockwise direction from Federacion Drive, left to 9th Avenue, left to 34th Street, left to 8th Avenue, left to 7th Avenue, and left back to Federacion Drive. The second new traffic route directs motorists counter-clockwise from Rizal Drive left to 28th Street, left to 11th Avenue, left to 30th street, and left back to Rizal Drive.
In a report by Business World, Bonifacio Estate Service Corporation general manager Jun Galvez says that this scheme will serve as a solution to the city's traffic congestion problem, as a one-way scheme would allow motorists to maximize the width of the city's roads and reduce the time vehicles spend at stoplights.
Update as of August 29, 2018 (2:45 p.m.): A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that "Jun Santos" is the general manager of the Bonifacio Estate Service Corporation. In fact, his name is Jun Galvez. The article has been updated to reflect this correction.
