Expect Pasig Traffic to Be Heavier Than Usual Next Week
There will be several road closures.
(SPOT.ph) Pasig residents, brace yourselves as the traffic situation will get a little bit more intense as September ends. The Pasig City Command Center released four traffic advisories on September 18, announcing several road closures from September 21 to 30. Motorists are advised to avoid the following areas and find alternate routes.
Starting September 21, F. Concepcion Street in Barangay San Jose will be temporarily closed. This is to make way for the construction of underground parking at Plaza Bonifacio. No date regarding the street's reopening has been announced.
On September 22 from 5 p.m. onwards, the following roads will be closed off to the public to make way for the Barangay Sto. Tomas procession:
- E. Angeles Street
- M.H. del Pilar Street
- Kapitan Ato Street
- F. Manalo Street
- V. Baltazar Street
- Market Avenue
- E. Santos Street
M.H. del Pilar Street will be closed on the same day to make way for the Barangay Sto. Tomas Food Festival from 5 p.m. onwards.
Finally, on September 30 from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m., expect heavy traffic along the following roads due to the Think Sports Philippines' fun run:
- Ortigas East Avenue
- Julia Vargas Avenue
- Lanuza Avenue
