This Upcoming March Aims to Raise Awareness for Mental Health
The Solidarity Walk for Mental Health will be held in Manila on October 14.
(SPOT.ph) The Philippine Mental Health Act into law in June, providing for the inclusion of mental health care in the country's general healthcare system. To celebrate this step forward, the organization Youth for Mental Health Coalition, Inc. will be holding the country's first-ever Solidarity Walk for Mental Health in Manila City on October 14. The march is organized in partnership with the Office of Senator Risa Hontiveros, and will also be held in commemoration of International Mental Health Month in October.
Assembly for the solidarity walk is at 5:30 a.m. at España Avenue, Manila. The march route will take place from Gate 2 of the University of Santo Tomas all the way to the Liwasang Bonifacio. All participants are requested to wear green.
