10 of the Most Gorgeous Christmas Trees in Manila

Christmas is in the air!

(SPOT.ph) When somebody says Christmas, you probably can't help but think back to all those times you and your family set up your Christmas tree at home. You might have even argued with your siblings over who gets to place the star on top. Filipinos have always been enthusiastic over the holiday season so it's no surprise that when it comes to holiday decorations, people go all out. We round up 10 of the most gorgeous Christmas trees around the Metro.

This 50-foot Christmas tree is decked out in the most classic Christmas color combination to date: Red and gold. Serving as the centerpiece for Eastwood City's Christmas display, every part of the tree is lit up with small, golden lights, peppered with vibrant, red poinsettia flowers.

You'll be singing "Rudolf the Red-Nosed Raindeer" over and over again after seeing Dusit Thani's Christmas tree—except it's actually a golden reindeer you'll be dealing with! Decorated with gold and silver balls, warm fairy lights, and reindeer ornaments, this classy display designed by New York-based Filipino artist Jerry Sibal goes perfectly well with the hotel elegant ambiance.

A million dreams seems pretty reachable with Shangri-La Plaza's circus-themed Christmas tree (bonus points if you get the reference). This fifty-foot tree takes the center stage with its decor resembling circus tickets and circus animals like elephants and lions.

Perhaps the first thing you'll notice about this is the golden "ribbon" strewn all over it. Then, you'll be amazed by the pop of blue that comes from the light and reflects off of the decorations. Gold and teal paper flowers are placed around the base of the 40-foot tree, together with two, larger-than-life cranes—and they're also dressed up for Christmas, of course!

The newly revamped mall does not fall behind with its one-of-a-kind Christmas tree. Decorated mainly with pink and blue ornaments (plus the occasional gold and green), this tree changes color thanks to the shifting lights.

Warm golden lights are strewn all over Power Plant Mall's Christmas tree. Its design is seemingly simple, with both light and dark green ornaments, but what really makes this tree so extra are the pillars on each floor that perfectly frame the tree.

Sofitel

If you've been here before, then you would know that there's actually a sculpture right where the Christmas tree stands now. This 45-foot tree is decked out with blue and gold ornaments, which is all part of this year's theme: The Enchanted Journey. It's topped with a star that's as big as a normal household parol (it even looks like one too!).

Bellevue Manila

Bellevue Manila's tree is definitely a feast for the eyes. With golden decor items all around, this display is dripping with elegance. It's set up on a small podium—which is, of course, gold—and is surrounded by old-school candle lanterns that give it an even more classic feel.

SM Aura

If last year's theme was an underwater wonderland, this year's tree is centered around the safari. Surrounded by installations of gold animals like elephants and giraffes, this gigantic tree is decked out with all sorts of ornaments from top to bottom.
