( Set in an alternate, matriarchal 1920s Asia, Monstress  follows a girl struggling to survive in a war-torn steampunk world. With such a richly imagined setting, it's not surprising to see it bagging awards for bestselling author Marjorie Liu. The comic book series has received critical praise, and this weekend, local fans get the chance to have their copies signed during Liu's Manila book-signing tour from February 8 to 10.
