PSA: Water Interruptions for Holy Week Announced by Maynilad

Here's the schedule from April 16 to April 20.

(SPOT.ph) The scorching summer heat is enough to make anyone want to leave the Metro—especially with the news of several water and electricity interruptions in the city. If you haven't already, you might want to plan a quick getaway for the holidays next week because Maynilad Water just released a schedule of service interruptions in and around the western part of the Metro from April 16 to 20. This is to make way for "water network enhancement activities."

"The activities will be done during the Holy Week, when fewer customers are expected to be home, thus lessening the impact of service interruptions on water consumers," Maynilad said in a statement.

Maynilad supplies water for the West Zone of the Greater Manila area. In March, Manila Water, which supplies water for the East Zone, drew flak for prolonged periods of water service interruptions, leaving their consumers water-less for weeks. Both contractors are regulated by the state under the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System.
