Motorists, You Might Want to Avoid Passing Through Tondo Tonight
A stop-and-go traffic will be implemented to make way for Via Dolorosa.
(SPOT.ph) Anyone who lives in the Metro would know how heavy traffic can be on a Friday, especially when the rush hour sets in, and it might be even worse today for those in Tondo, Manila. A stop-and-go traffic scheme in certain roadways in the area will be implemented by the Manila Police District to make way for the procession of Via Dolorosa starting 7 p.m. tonight, April 12.
The procession will follow a route that starts at the Shrine of Sto. Niño de Tondo along J. Nolasco Street. From there, it will take a right turn to Moriones Street, left to Santa Maria or Yangco Street, left to Dandan Street, left to Velasquez Street, left to Perla Street, and a right to Santa Maria Street before crossing J. Nolasco Street and returning to the shrine.
Heavy traffic is expected and motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
