Looks Like This Is Why Traffic Was So Bad This Morning
Especially for people heading south.
(SPOT.ph) Anyone who commutes every day knows just how bad traffic can get on a Monday morning. Unfortunately for those heading south on the morning of May 6, five separate accidents along different portions of the southbound lane of EDSA added to the usual traffic.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the first accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. at EDSA-Connecticut. Shortly after, a multiple-collision accident involving a taxi, SUV, and a car at the Ortigas flyover occured at around 4:35 a.m.
An accident involving a bus and car occurred at EDSA-Reliance around 5:12 a.m. while another multiple-collision accident involving two SUVs and a car happened at EDSA-Annapolis at 5:15 a.m.
Around 5:31 a.m., two buses collided near the Ortigas station of the MRT-3, occupying two lanes along the busy thoroughfare.
The incidents caused heavy traffic from North Avenue to Santolan.
