(SPOT.ph) San Francisco-based e-cigarette brand JUUL has launched in Manila as part of their new venture into the Philippine market. Parent company JUUL Labs is now officially bringing their vapor device and JUUL pods to those looking to find alternatives to smoking, or hoping to quit altogether.

The "company’s mission [is] to help improve the lives of the world’s one billion adult smokers by offering a viable alternative to combustible cigarettes,” according to a report by Business World. JUUL Labs has partnered with Better For You Corp. to expand the current market.
For now, JUUL can be found at Central Square in Bonifacio Global City, and Robinsons Galleria in Ortigas, Quezon City. The company is looking to set up shop at Glorietta, SM North EDSA, Robinsons Magnolia, Ayala Malls The 30th, Eastwood Mall and more, said the report.
Since its launch, JUUL has gained strong market share in the global e-cigarette industry, but the brand has also recently started raising questions from the American Cancer Society.
The entry of JUUL e-cigarettes will undergo the standard rules and regulations, said Finance Secretary Carlos G. Dominguez in a report by Inquirer.net. Under new excise rules on tobacco and related products, JUUL products are set to have taxes, but this new ruling is yet to be enacted into law by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, according to the report.
