(SPOT.ph) There's barely a month left before Christmas Day; we don't mean to stress you out or anything, but we hope you're at least halfway through gift shopping! If you're headed to the shopping hubs of Manila anytime soon, or have any other business in the capital, then just take note that the Jones Bridge will be closed to traffic on Sunday, November 24, starting at 3 p.m.

The historic Jones Bridge is the main passageway between Intramuros and Binondo. Motorists heading north towards the areas of Divisoria can take the nearby McArthur Bridge while those heading south towards Taft Avenue will have to take the long way round through the Santa Cruz area.
The bridge will be opened to traffic again at around 7 or 8 p.m., according to a report by Inquirer.net. The Manila Public Information Office did not note why the bridge is being closed to traffic, but recent rehabilitation work may have something to do with it.Â
