(SPOT.ph)Â In case you were thinking of heading anywhere near the border of Mandaluyong City and Sta. Mesa, Manila, this weekend, then you may want to take note: Sevilla Bridge will be closed to traffic from Saturday to Sunday, February 8 to February 9. The closure will last from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day, according to an advisory by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.Â

Equipment being used for construction of the Skyway Stage 3—which will connect Makati City and Quezon City—will be moved along the river during this time. Sevilla Bridge stretches over San Juan river between Sta. Mesa, Manila and Mandaluyong City; it is also the end of Shaw Boulevard on that side of the Metro. Motorists can use the Bacood-Mandaluyong Bridge instead.
