PSA: Daily Water Interruptions Expected in Metro Manila

Time to bring out the blue water drums.

(SPOT.ph) Summer is coming. So prepare yourselves for sun, sand—and a lack of water in Metro Manila, apparently. Daily water interruptions are slated for several cities in the Metro and in Cavite starting this March. Water levels in Ipo Dam continue to lower, announced Maynilad Water Services Inc. on Friday, February 28, which means that the  concessionaire will be strictly implementing a daily rotational water service interruption.

The water interruption schedule is different for each of the barangays in several cities. Certain areas in Quezon City will have no water from 4 p.m. to 6 a.m., while some barangays in Pasay City will have water-service interruptions from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m., 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., or 12 p.m. to 1 a.m., depending on the area. Check out the complete list of cities affected below:

"Depending on the actual daily supply situation at Ipo Dam, we will shorten the scheduled service interruption in affected areas. Thank you for your patience and understanding," said Maynilad Water Services Inc. according to a report by GMA News Online. No word yet on how long these interruptions will last, but with the hot summer months incoming, you may want to prepare yourselves for the worst.
