Bikers, You Can Repair Your Bike for Free at This Station in QC
Know where to go for bike emergencies when in the Cubao area.
As bikes have become a popular and efficient means of transportation in this pandemic, both the government and the private sector have taken to building more bike-friendly infrastructure.
Araneta City in Cubao, Quezon City, alongside the assistance of Quezon City 3rd District Congressman Allan Benedict Reyes, has set up a Public Bike Repair Station for bikers. In this one-stop station, allen wrenches, screwdrivers, air pumps, and other essential bike equipment are free to use.
"Great news to our Araneta City bikers! Bicycle riders at Araneta who will encounter bike issues may now avail of a quick fix at the Parking Garage South Building!" they said in their Facebook announcement. The station was installed as part of Araneta City's initiatives for those who drop by the area using their bicycles during the quarantine.
This good news for bikers comes after another one announced on July 22, with the installation of bike racks in several stations of the Metro's train lines—the Metro Rail Transit Line 3, the Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2, and the Philippine National Railways.
