Metro Manila Weather News: Temperature Drops to 19.7°C on January 16

The bone-chilling temp was recorded by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration at their Science Garden in Quezon City. Metro Manila showed up on their daily-recorded list of the 10 lowest temperatures across the nation as of 8 a.m. Also on the list were Baguio City, Benguet (11°C), Laoag City, Ilocos Norte (18.6°C), San Jose, Occidental Mindoro (19.1°C), and more.

According to the weather bureau's weekly outlook, Metro Manila is in for a chill week ahead. It will be generally fair weather with some light rain to accompany all the muni-muni moments we expect will come thanks to the lower temps. Yup, you're not alone if staring out the window is a random pastime you're suddenly into.

Today's temp is a bit lower than the 20.4°C recorded on December 5, 2021—the old number to beat for this amihan. It is also lower than the previous monsoon's temp drop to 19.9 °C on the morning of Sunday, January 31, 2021. BRB while we pile on the sweaters.
