(SPOT.ph) As the number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines rises again, it's getting riskier and riskier to leave your home. But pet parents' responsibility to take care of their little ones should not be disrupted. In an effort to keep people from having to go out while still attending to their pets' needs, these local government units launched free vet teleconsultation services.
These cities in Metro Manila offer free vet consultation online:
Quezon City
Quezon City Veterinary Department announced on January 18 that they have opened their Facebook page and telephone lines (8988-4242 local 8036) for teleconsultation. The service is available from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Taguig City
Taguig launched Vet Telemedicine for the benefit of pet owners in their city way back in July 2020. This virtual service provides free veterinary consultations via landline or mobile. Residents of Taguig City can call (02) 8697-1969 or 0977-690-9069 from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for consults. "Just as we value our own physical health, the health of our fur babies is just as important," the local government said in an online post.
