This Container Home in Rizal Has Stunning Views of Laguna Lake
And yup, a pool!
(SPOT.ph) The term "Lakeview houses" typically brings to mind very expensive pieces of property. Massive estates on sprawling property meant to last. But here's proof that that isn't always the case: Check out this cool container home tucked away in Binangonan, Rizal. Built into the hilly landscape, this tiny abode is proof that you don't need a fancy estate to wake up to scenic lake and mountain views daily.
Forty-five-year-old Alden Torres and his family built this home after having found the property in May 2021. The view reminded them of the views from Israel's Sea of Galilee, something that sealed the deal for them. And because they didn't want to risk changing the landscape, they decided to build a container home, one that they could easily move should the need arise in the future.
The Torres family ended up with around 60-square meters worth of space; pretty sizable as far as container homes go. "The house itself which uses 'yong container as a platform is 15 square meters and then we decided na palakihin 'yong outdoor living space niya by putting up a balcony which almost doubled the size," Alden tells Summit Media's OG team. "And then we elevated it so we get another 15 square meters do'n sa baba to put up a common kitchen, a larger kitchen than what we have here in the main container home."
So aside from a main house and some auxiliary spaces, they've also got a pool and perhaps most importantly, a roof deck. From the top of their home, you get an almost 360-degree view Laguna Lake and the Sierra Madre mountain range.
