Specialty Florists

"Lisianthus in a Box" by Spruce Floral Designs

Spruce Floral Designs

Event stylist Patricia Pastelero of Spruce Floral Designs presents a sophisticated alternative to the typical Valentine's Day gift. Instead of the usual arm bouquets, Spruce offers lush and compact floral arrangements in containers, such as pots or ceramic vases. "I always think arrangements (with containers) are better than bouquets as sometimes the flowers don’t get to the recipient until the end of the day and by that time there’s hardly any water left in bouquet’s water receptacle and you end up with coma flowers. Arrangements in containers can last for days," Patricia explains.

In terms of the flowers they use for their arrangements, Patricia shares, "Forever popular are red roses. Although my regular clients have found that arrangements always turn out more beautiful if they give me a little creative liberty, they just have to give me a color or flower preference and their budget and I’ll put something together."  Spruce's Valentine offerings range from P400 to P5,000.
