CHECK IT OUT: The Kobo e-reader

This new gadget will have you losing sleep for sure.

( Did you ever hide under your blanket when you were a kid, with a flashlight and a book you couldn't put down? If your answer to that question is a big fat yes, then the Kobo might just be your new favorite bedtime companion. Launched last week by National Book Store, which has partnered with the Toronto-based company to exclusively distribute the e-reader in the Philippines, it's available in three models, each with its own set of cool features. Our favorite thing about it? It's light enough that you won't end up with sore wrists while reading.

The Kobo Touch has a no-glare six-inch touchscreen and can display pages to look like they were printed on paper. It can hold up to 1,000 books. Colors: Black on black, silver, lilac, blue on white (P4,599)

The Kobo Glo has ComfortLight, which features adjustable, evenly distributed illumination and customizable fonts. Colors: Black Night, Pink Sunset, Blue Moon, Silver Star (P6,599)
