Cath Kidston opens in Manila on December 5
Get ready for "The Home of Modern Vintage" with its deluge of fancy florals and other pretty things.
(SPOT.ph) It all started with rose wallpaper. Interior designer Cath Kidston was flicking through a magazine when she first came up with the idea of adding a twist to traditional English designs by mixing old and new. The playful air of her products which first came out in small shops in Holland Park and Notting Hill in London eventually gained popularity-and soon her trademark florals expanded to include spots, stars, and cowboy prints printed on bags, clothes, homeware, and other cute accessories, for the young and young at heart.
Today, the brand has 170 stores in 13 countries, with the first one in Asia opening in Tokyo in 2006. Manila folk no longer have to travel too far-Cath Kidston is finally here, opening its first store in Bonifacio Global City on December 5 and bringing early Christmas cheer to all of us Modern Vintage fans.
And while we have yet to see what’s inside the Manila shop, here are some of the things we wish to find once we go through those doors:
Antique Rose Classic Make Up Case
Button Spot 3-Part Business Bag
Autumn Bloom Folded Zip Wallet with Leather
Button Spot Day Bag
Mews Ditsy Small Leather Trim Tote
Little Birds iPhone 5 Case
Teatime Button Badge Set
Folk Flowers Wheeled Cabin-sized Suitcase
London Tea for One Set
Clifton Rose Keepsake Box
Cath Kidston opens on December 5 at Active Fun, Bonifacio Global City.
