Clive Owen’s masculine sophistication embodies the sexy scent of Bvlgari Man.
No, Clive Owen wasn't there but we could all feel his presence: it was as if we could all smell him. Or at least what he would smell like wearing the scent he's been chosen to embody, Bvlgari Man: masculine and sensual, yet refined and sophisticated, in his fresh-out-of-the-shower, crisp-white-shirt, rumpled-white-sheets sexiness.
The regional launch of the new fragrance in Singapore brought the essence of Bvlgari Man to life. Guests entered the venue greeted by maze-like passageways featuring artistic installations depicting the hallmark notes of the fragrance: Calabrian bergamot, violet leaves, lotus blossom, and white pear infused with a seductive blend of woods like vetiver and cypriol merged with the sweetness of white woods and the creaminess of sandalwood and cashmere wood.
Created by famed Spanish perfumer Alberto Morillas, Bvlgari Man is a woody-oriental scent designed to emanate self-confident sensuality. He describes the fragrance in three words: "Modern, woody, sexy." Says Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Owen, who names "freshly cut grass, and the crispness of the countryside after it’s rained" as his favorite smells, "I love the way [Bvlgari Man] is fresh and light. I think of the dawn rising over an amazing landscape."

The aromatic trail culminated in a space gorgeous Owen-esque male models awaiting guests, ready to spritz the scent on guests and leading to a showcase proudly displaying from the fragrance from all angles in all its luminosity and architectural aesthetic appeal. Created in collaboration with the renowned design studio Atelier Oï, the fragrance's flacon is a futuristic projection of lines and volumes with a monolithic form enhanced by sinuous curves in a ray of reflections gradually absorbed into the deeper tones of the upper part of the bottle. A sunburst motif on the cap is inspired by the dial of one of the more emblematic Bvlgari watch collections, but presented in an innovative white version to to top what they call a "sculpture of light."

The vast event space was framed by photo murals of Owen's Bvlgari Man ad as well as a big screen airing his commercials all night long. Inspired by the elegant atmosphere of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novels and the sophisticated characters of the 'dolce vita,' the advertising campaign was photographed in black and white by Mario Sorrenti, styled by Andrew Richardson and art directed by Riccardo Ruini. The campaign captures Clive Owen's innate elegance and absolute charisma. "His gaze conveys the magnetic force of a personality that is both intense and gentle, powerful and captivating," says Bvlgari. Shot in Los Angeles, natural daylight and a clean, bare setting convey the luminous, radiant character of the fragrance.

Bvlgari Man is available in in 30 ml, 60 ml and 100 ml sizes and includes a bath line with a Bath and Shower Gel (200 ml), After Shave Balm (100 ml), After Shave Lotion (100 ml) and Deodorant (75 g).
