(SPOT.ph) Samsung launched its thinnest notebook to date at The Peninsula Manila, Makati on March 22.  Samsung executives VP for IT Group Bongwan Kim, Director of IT Group Eric Sulit, Head of Corporate Marketing Chiqui Tan, NPC Product Manager Hannah Francisco with Intel Market Development Manager Wowie Wong introduced the Samsung Notebook Series 9, the "lightest and brightest" yet from the brand’s notebook line. Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO) President Kyung Chull Park also graced the event and opened the fashion show, which was hosted by Joey Mead.

The fashion show featured creations from designers Randy Ortiz, Rhett Eala, and Rajo Laurel, all of which were inspired by the latest Samsung gadget. Ortiz showcased his Thin Collection and said, "Every time I choose a gadget, the first thing that attracts me is the aesthetics. The Samsung Notebook Series 9 is very fashionable and stylish. My collection consists of stunning silhouettes and cuts which are both slimming and sexy." For Eala’s Light Collection, airy fabric was used to make the wearer "feel good, beautiful and sexy." Laurel’s Bright Collection was meant to evoke fun: "I wanted this collection to be happy, vibrant, and energetic. We’re about to hit summer so I want to be able to capture that excitement."

Also spotted at the event were couple Divine Lee and Victor Basa, Bianca Valerio, Raymond Gutierrez, Jenni Epperson, Bianca Roque, and more.
