(SPOT.ph) After a 10-year hiatus from the scene, top designer and Father of Fashionalism Rhett Eala’s popular clothing line Due makes a comeback under the proudly Filipino retail brand Collezione-C2. Now called Due | Collezione, Eala’s label promises fashion forward yet wearable pieces for today’s cosmopolitan women.
Eala says Due was his fashion "baby." "It was my first ever clothing line. Due started life as teens' line, and later evolved into a more stylish women's wear label." The idea to revive the line came up during his 20th anniversary fashion show last year: "Up to that point, I was still being asked about Due by people who own and continue to wear pieces from the line. People still have good memories of Due, so I thought to myself, ’Why not bring it back?’...With my first line now joining a brand of which I am part of and immensely proud, I feel that I have finally come full circle as a designer."
Present at the launch at the Greenbelt 5 Atrium were the designer’s closest friends and colleagues in the fashion industry: Phoemela Baranda, Pauline Prieto, Rissa Mananquil, Liza Ilarde,Jo-Ann Bitagcol, Patricia Prieto, Debra Pioquinto, Gem Padilla Thomas, Collezione President Joey Qua, Tippi and Ito Ocampo, and more. Models Ria Bolivar, Wendy Tabusalla, Jessica Yang, Michelle Panemanglor, and Melissa Frye walked the runway clad in Eala’s creations.
After the show, guests trooped to the Due | Collezione store and were pleasantly surprised to discover that the prices of Eala’s stylish pieces fell within the P880 to P3,900 range.
Due | Collezione is now available at Greenbelt 5 and Power Plant Mall.
