MSN Autos has ranked Metro Manila as the 10th worst city in the world to drive in. "Triple-lane changes, ignoring other drivers, never signaling, breezing through red lights--these are all things drivers can expect when in Manila," the article reads. It also mentioned traffic counterflow, incessant honking, "terrible roads and less-than-perfect signage," all making for a "terrible, terrible brew."
In a Saksi report, the Automobile Association of the Philippines enumerated a few things that could help make the metro a safer and less stressful city to drive in: proper driver’s education, better traffic enforcement and good street infrastructures.
