Richard (Rich) Herrera, a 31-year-old actor, and Richard Hardin, a 34-year-old basketball player from the Philippines have just won The Amazing Race Asia 4, reports PEP.ph. The two friends who call themselves "The Riches" took home $100,000 yesterday.
They bested nine other duos, including another Philippine team. Tattoo artist Jacinta James and model Lani Pillinger, both half-Filipino and half-Australian, ranked fourth in the reality show. The Singapore team came second to "The Riches," followed by the Indonesian team.

At the awarding ceremony, Hardin proposed to his girlfriend identified as Andrea in the The Amazing Race Asia’s Facebook page. Uploaded on the page is a photo of Hardin kneeling on one knee in front of the crowd. A second photo captioned "Say yes, say yes, YES!!!" shows the couple hugging.
Herrera and Hardin’s win is the first time that the Philippines took home the reality show’s grand prize, according to PEP.ph. The team last year--couple Tisha Silang and Geoff Rodriguez--came close, coming in at second. The year before that, Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez finished third.
